The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Ade Coker has insisted that nobody in the party will be permitted to go independent under his watch.
Speaking on Citi TV‘s Face to Face program, he noted that the NDC has a system where everyone ought to obey rules and regulations if you want to be part.
This comes after reports suggested that some NDC members have decided to break away and go independent. However, Ade Coker insisted such news have never come to his notice.
“It is never true, it has not come to my notice, I have heard snippets of stories but it hasn’t come to my notice. I can assure you.” he said.
He added, “the party is paramount, no one will go independent under my watch in the whole of Greater Accra. We have a system and you have to obey the rules and structures of the party if you want to be part of us.”
He stressed that naysayers who seek to create disaffection in the party ahead of the elections will not succeed as he continues to work to ensure peace within the NDC.
“In politics, we know the maneuvers going on, somebody who feels cannot win the seat and trying to split our front is trying to stir up this kind of behavior,” he said.
