The National Lottery Authority has announced plans to partner Ghana Post in a long-term strategic partnership.
The newly-forged partnership, part of the vision of the Director-General of the NLA, Mr. Sammi Awuku to rebrand and re-position the Authority, will see the NLA set up offices in some strategic locations of Ghana Post to enable Ghanaians access services of the NLA with ease.
Mr. Sammi Awuku explained that this move, apart from allowing customers to access NLA products and services with ease, will also allow them to easily receive their prizes after winning.
Mr Awuku, further explained that the National Lottery Authority through this partnership intends to carry the Ghana Post on its wings, to enable both institutions to grow together with the prime focus on ensuring adequate funds are raised for the state and for developmental projects.
“The Ghana Post has the expertise to deliver on its mandate when given a push”, Awuku added.
Mr Awuku assured the Ghana Post of the NLA’s topmost commitments in ensuring that this partnership benefits both institutions and also brings relief to consumers.
He made these remarks today, Thursday 10th February 2022, during a courtesy call by the Managing Director of Ghana Post, Bice Osei Kuffuor, and officials from the Ghana Post.
On his part, the Managing director of Ghana Post, Mr. Bice Osei Kuffuor highlighted the efforts of positive gains by the Ghana Post, and further called on institutions and individuals to impose trust in them to deliver excellently and also remain very relevant in raising funds for the development of the nation.
Over the past four years, Ghana Post has been on a path to turnaround, leading to significant growth through innovation, the introduction of innovative services, and the expansion of its fleet.
The digitization of post offices across Ghana has been at the centre of the turnaround strategy, allowing the company flexibility to add on new services easily. At the same time, the government’s introduction of a digital addressing system has enhanced the delivery of mail and parcels.
