A former Managing Director of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), Kingsley Kwame Awuah-Darko has noted that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) while in opposition have learnt their lessons and therefore decided to draft a manifesto that addresses the needs of the people.
Speaking on Citi TV’s Point of View, Mr Darko disclosed that the NDC manifesto dubbed “The People’s Manifesto: Jobs, Prosperity, and More”, took into consideration the views and concerns of the ordinary Ghanaian.
“The NDC had to go into opposition to consider what went wrong in 2016 and the reality is that our party has always been based on listening to what the ordinary people of Ghana want and the results and culmination of the three and half years in opposition is the People’s Manifesto,” he said.
The NDC has described its 2020 elections manifesto as “a social contract between the party and Ghanaians”.
