Under the leadership of Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), used old and faulty laptops to collate data for the 2016 and 2020 elections respectively.

Dr. Smart Sarpong, a renowned researcher made this disclosure on the Wontumi Morning Show noting that it was the reason, Mr. Asiedu Nketia aka General Mosquito mounted the witness box at the Supreme Court with no evidence during the 2020 election petition hearing.

“NDC used old laptops and faulty to collate 2020 elections. No wonder they couldn’t collate results in 2016 and 2020. That was very unfortunate”, he said.

Dr. Smart Sarpong, is predicting that there would be chaos in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) if the contest between Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia is not handled properly.

Dr. Sarpong who is the Director of Research at Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) stated on the Wontumi Morning Show that if the NDC wants to put up a good show for the 2024 general elections, they ought to handle the chairmanship race between their two stalwarts well.

“The whole fight is at the Chairmanship level. If not properly managed, there would be a problem there”, he said whilst giving his view on the impending contest between Mr. Ofosu Ampofo and Mr. Asiedu Nketia.

In his view, after over decades of serving the NDC as General Secretary, Mr. Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito should take a backstage rather than contest as Chairman for the party

His decision to contest in Dr. Sarpong’s view, “has the tendency to bring chaos” to the NDC.
