Leader and Founder of National Liberation Congress(NLC), Stephen Atubiga has filed a complaint against the main opposition NDC following alleged threats to his life.
In the letter, dated September 06, 2021, addressed to the National security Minister the former NDC member asked for urgent security protection vis-à-vis the latest threats.
“Some leading members and stakeholders of our opponents have confidently confided in me to be very careful of my safety/security. I should be making available to you details of plots put together against me.
“I believe and have confidence in the security outfits of this country, through the good leadership of our current able President, that the NLC and myself will be provided with the needed protection,” Atubigah said in a letter to the National Security Minister.
Atubigah who was once a member of the Communications team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) resigned from the Party citing disloyalty, lack of accountability and probity and lousy leadership among others as his reasons for leaving.
He resigned barely weeks after he was suspended for publishing disparaging comments about Professor Joshua Alabi and other key members of the NDC.
He broke away with other disgruntled members of the NDC to form the National Liberation Congress.
