Mugeez Of R2bees Says Grammy Awards Can’t Judge African Music

Published

on

Mugeez of R2Bees has stated that the respected American Awards Scheme, Grammy Awards, cannot judge African music.

Without providing details as to why he thinks so, the musician posted an image on Instagram that reads“For the last time Grammy no fit judge African Music!”

Perhaps, Mugeez seeks to argue that African music is unique and therefore an arbiter of what’s good and bad African music or deserving of an award should be from Africa. Even this wouldn’t be wholly accurate as the Grammy pulls in vast experts from different musical backgrounds in their selection and awarding of songs.
