Massive Demo To Hit NSS Soon As Personnel Lament Over Unpaid Allowances

A Planned demonstration is currently being deliberated on by personnel of the National Service Scheme over unpaid allowances.

According to the leadership of the National Service Personnel, they see no proper timelines as to when their allowances will be paid after holding conversations with the management of the scheme.

A statement released by the National Executive Committee of the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) says personnel will have no option but to advise themselves if by 17th May 2022 their allowances are not paid.

Though the National Service Secretariat reported in March that allowances for January and February have been paid, some personnel claim that they have not received any allowances since October 2021.
