Man Jailed For Stealing Bible

 A 27-year-old man charged with stealing three Bible books at Naivas Supermarket claims he committed the offence to help his mother who is admitted to a. hospital in Tanzania.

During the shoplifting, Alex is alleged to have stolen three copies of Revised Standard Holy Bible books worth Ksh3,240 around 30ghc and he pleads guilty and was sentenced to 5 years in prison for stealing three Bible Books. 

The accused confessed to the magistrate that he lost his job his family, wife, children and mother all depended on him for everything he had no choice but to steal to help his sick mother and feed his family.

The supermarket manager confessed the accused refused to let go when he was caught on CCTV that was the reason why he was handed over to the police.
