Mahama Trending On Twitter After His Shocking ‘Do Or Die’ Statement

The NDC Flagbearer for the 2020 elections, former president John Dramani Mahama has been trending at number 1 on Twitter after his infamous ‘do or die’ statement.

The former President has received mixed reactions after he publicly stated that the 2024 elections will be a do or die affair.

Many have said that the former President’s statement is reckless and irresponsible and should not be coming from a statesman of his calibre.

However, persons close to the former president, including former deputy ministers; Felix Kwakye Ofosu and Sam George have defended the comments by Mr. Mahama, insisting that it is not a call to violence.

That reckless “Do or Die” comment by Mahama isn’t my main concern. My issue is how he goes around telling Ghanaians the 2020 election was rigged. In the 2020 election Petition, he made allegations of 5000 votes being illegal – forgetting he was faced a 500,000 vote difference.
