Kofi Adams Faces Court Over Legitimacy To Be MP

Member of Parliament-elect for the Buem Constituency, Kofi Adams have had his legitimacy to become MP-elect challenged by some thirteen persons in the constituency.

The petitioners, according to Citi News have filed a suit arguing that Kofi Adams cannot hold himself as MP for the constituency since they and thousands of voters in the Satrokofi, Akpafu, Lolobi and Likpe, were disenfranchised.

They’re seeking an “order of perpetual injunction restraining Kofi Adams from holding himself out as Member of Parliament-elect for the constituency and or presenting himself to be sworn in as such.”
