John Mahama Is Nothing But A Desperate-For-Power Coward – Odike Slams Former President

The founder and leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), Akwasi Addai Odike has described the former President and flagbearer of the opposition NDC as a coward for backtracking on his earlier position on Nurses and Teachers allowance.

The former President, during his time at the helm of affairs cancelled the Teachers and Nurses allowance in 2016, stating emphatically that he will not restore the allowances even if it costs him the Presidency.

Then candidate Akufo-Addo promised to restore the allowances should he be elected, and has subsequently fulfilled that promise after winning the election.

However, former President Mahama has announced his intention to maintain the payment of the allowances if he wins the 2020 election, a statement which has incurred the wrath of Odike.

Speaking on Angel FM in Kumasi, Odike expressed disappointment in the former president, saying that his earlier decision to cancel the allowances was the best for the country but he has backtracked because he is desperate for power.

Odike therefore described Mahama as a coward who could not stick to his principles because of his desperation for power.
