Incumbent MP’s Lost Because They Refuse To Pick Their Constituents’ Calls – Ken Agyapong Alleges

Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Ken Agyapong has alleged that the majority of the incumbent MP’s who were unseated in last Saturday’s NPP parliamentary primaries, lost because of their blatant disregard for their constituents.

According to the maverick politician, who stood unopposed in his own constituency, some MP’s become pompous as soon as they enter parliament, feeling too big to even answer calls from their constituents.

Using himself as an example, the honourable MP revealed that no matter his schedule, he always makes time to speak to his constituents and party footsoldiers in general, whenever they call.

“All the foot soldiers across the country like me because I pick their calls anytime they call. They will tell you that when you call I will shout but if you’ve patience I will help you.” He said.

“Sometimes when they make the demands and I don’t have money, I talk to them for them to understand. So as an MP if you want to be loved you need to be open and build a good relationship with the grass root.” He added.
