Managing editor of the New Crusading Guide, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has said it’ll be a waste of time to consider former president John Dramani Mahama’s call to have an independent investigator look into events of the 2020 general elections.
Mr Mahama who had accepted a challenged from the Electoral Commission to have the police investigate the polls, noted that he’ll only testify before an independent investigator.
According to him it’ll be best if ECOWAS was brought in as the investigator.
However, Mr Baako wondered how Mr Mahama was going to trust the ECOWAS when their observer mission has already declared the 2020 polls as free and fair.
He said if Mr Mahama was so desperate to take an oath and testify he wouldn’t have allowed the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah to stand in the witness box and testify on his behalf during the 2020 election petition.
