Professor Ransford Gyampo, a senior lecturer at the University of Ghana has challenged the Electoral Commission to address it rifts with opposition political parties, particularly the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking on NDC’s boycott of IPAC meetings, he said he wasn’t surprised considering how the party was treated by the EC during the elections and their petition at the Supreme Court.
According to him, the way and manner which the election petition was carried out created an impression that all went well with the 2020 elections; wondering why the EC would call for discussions on the electoral processes if all went well indeed.
‘’You didn’t need a soothsayer to tell you about the posturing of the NDC’’. …’’The way and manner the election petition was carried out created tacitly an impression in the minds of people that all went well with the electoral process and if all went well with the electoral process why call people to come and sit down and talk about the electoral process.’’
