The Majority leader in Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has refused to respond to comments made by NPP stalwart, Boakye Agyarko in the wake of comments made by the Suame MP concerning the NPP flagbearership race.
Mr Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu had said that it will not be wise for the NPP to present another Akan as flagbearer after President Akufo-Addo, especially considering the fact that the NPP has been labelled as an Akan party.
However, his comments did not sit down well with many people, including former Minister of Energy, Boakye Agyarko who lambasted the Suame MP.
In a reaction on Oman FM’s Boiling Point, Boakye Agyarko expressed disappointment in the majority leader, insisting that his comments are not fitting.
He described the majority leader’s comments as one that should be made by kids and bloody fools.
However, in a counter-reaction on Okay FM, Mr Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu refused to dignify his comrade’s comments with a response.
He however, expressed disappointment in Mr Agyarko, who he regarded as a stalwart of the NPP for failing to seek clarification on his comments before lambasting him in public.
