Akufo-Addo To Offer Akuapem Poloo Presidential Pardon?

President Akufo-Addo is likely to extend a Presidential pardon to convicted socialite and actress, Akuapem Poloo.

According to unconfirmed reports the President is considering pardoning the controversial socialite after several pleas from personalities across the country.

Host of Accra FM’s Citizen Show, Kwabena Bobie Ansah said on April 17, 2021 that he’s heard rumours of presidential pardon however, cannot vouch its authenticity.

Akuapem Poloo was on Wednesday convicted on her own plea by the Circuit Court in Accra after pleading guilty to three charges, thus the publication of obscene materials, engaging in domestic violence, namely conduct that in any way undermines another person’s privacy or integrity and engaging in domestic violence that in any way detracts or is likely to detract from another person’s dignity and worth as a human being.

She was sentenced to 90 days on each count but the court said, the sentence must run concurrently, meaning she will only serve a 90-day jail term which is three months.
