‘I Have Not Paid Any Bribe To Chief Justice, I Don’t Even Know His House’ – Chief Denies Allegations

The Chief at the center of the bribery allegations against the Chief Justice, Ogyeedom Obranu Kwesi Atta VI has denied the allegations levelled against him by Kumasi-based lawyer, Kwasi Afrifa.

Lawyer Kwasi Afrifa, while responding to a disciplinary action brought against him by his client, Ogyeedom Obranu Kwesi Atta VI, alleged that his client had informed that he was going to pay bribes amounting to 5 million dollars to the Chief Justice, Kwasi Anin Yeboah.

According to Lawyer Afrifa in his petition, his client also told him that as part of conditions given him by the Chief Justice, he was to drop his lawyer and employ Akoto Ampaw.

However, in a public notice circulated by Ogyeedom Kwesi Atta, he denied categorically the allegations of bribing the chief justice.

The traditional ruler also denied knowing the chief justice, or even knowing his place of residence.
