I Found It Difficult To Choose Players – Otto Addo

Otto Addo, the Black Stars head coach, admitted that it was difficult for him to choose the team for the Black Stars.

As part of World Cup preparations, Ghana’s national squad will play a friendly match against Brazil this evening.

In advance of the two friendly matches against Brazil and Nicaragua, coach Otto Addo listed 29 players. The fact that certain players were omitted off the list and others were included despite seeing less playing time with their club teams drew a number of critiques.

The head coach explained his selections at a press conference prior to the match against Brazil.

He stated, “Putting the group together was challenging because some choices were really close. Tariq Lamptey, a reliable Premier League player, is welcomed by us with open arms, especially given his youth and speed.
