Otto Addo Still Considering Salisu For Qatar 2022 But GFA Totally Against After Defender Refused To Play Qualifiers

Coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo is still keen on inviting Southampton Defender, Mohammed Salisu ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana secured qualification for the World football showpiece event after dispatching Nigeria at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on superior away goal difference.

Following the qualification, Black Stars Coach Otto Addo is said to be keen on offering another opportunity to Southampton defender, Salisu, who is said to have rejected the Black Stars on four occassions.

With qualification secured, many Ghanaian fans have taken to social media to make their voices heard that Salisu will not be needed since he refused to help his country when he was needed most.

However, Coach Otto Addo still believes that the inclusion of Salisu will serve as a very good backup cover for the excellent defensive pair of Daniel Amartey and Alexander Djiku.

The GFA, however, appears to be in disagreement with Coach Addo, as GFA spokesperson, Henry Asante Twum said that the Country should focus on players who are willing to play instead of wasting time on those who are not.
