The founder of the National Democratic Congress, and former President of the Republic of Ghana, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings has revealed that he did not vote for John Mahama when he stood on the ticket of the NDC in 2016.
The former President has not hidden his dislike for how the NDC, a party he is widely acknowledged to have built with his blood, have conducted their affairs in recent times.
From the time of the late President John Evans Atta Mills to date, it appears the former military ruler and his own party had parted ways for good.
However, in an interview with veteran journalist Kweku Sakyi Addo on Asaase Radio, the former President has revealed that he did not vote for his own party’s candidate in 2016.
Mr. Rawlings now appears to be patching up with his party though in recent times, as he is seen to be having an improved relationship with the NDC executives, especially the flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.
