I Am Still NPP But I Will Vote For Alan – Hopeson Adorye Declares
In a surprising turn of events, former Deputy National Security Coordinator, Hopeson Adorye, has declared his support and vote for Alan Kyeremateng and the Movement for Change in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
Adorye, who remains a member of the NPP, emphasized his faith in Alan Kyeremateng’s ability to transform the country. Speaking to an Atinka TV crew during a Movement for Change event, Adorye stated, “I am NPP but I am a sympathizer of Movement for Change. When it is election time I will vote for Alan Kyeremateng.”
Responding to questions about potential conflicts within the NPP due to his endorsement, Adorye highlighted the freedom of association in politics, citing the precedent of cross-party voting in previous elections. He firmly expressed his belief in Alan Kyeremateng, declaring, “We need a plan. Alan Kyeremateng is the future of the youth of Ghana.”
Alan Kyeremateng, having parted ways with the NPP after the Special Delegates Congress, is running as an independent candidate for the presidency in 2024. Adorye’s endorsement adds an interesting dynamic to the political landscape, raising questions about the evolving alliances and loyalties in the lead-up to the elections.
