We Have No Plans To Bring Alan Back To The Party – Stephen Ntim

In a recent interview on Angel FM, the National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Ayesu Ntim, shed light on the party’s stance regarding the departure of Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, former Trade and Industry Minister.

Alan Kyerematen had announced his resignation from the NPP on September 25, 2023, citing various reasons, including the alleged intimidation of supporters and a perceived lack of fair treatment.

Mr. Ntim made it clear that the party had not formally expelled Alan Kyerematen. He stated, “The party has not said we have sacked him, but if he is ready and thinks about it very well to come back, he will be accepted as he is respected. He is very grown and knows what’s best for him.”

Ntim also acknowledged the economic challenges facing the nation, expressing an understanding that hardships are a concern for Ghanaians. He indicated the party’s commitment to addressing these concerns and working towards victory in the 2024 elections.

Alan Kyerematen, in his departure from the NPP, not only criticized the party’s treatment of its members but also declared his intention to run as an independent presidential candidate in the 2024 election. This development has added an interesting dimension to the political landscape in Ghana, with the former Trade and Industry Minister positioning himself as a potential contender in the upcoming election.

As the 2024 election draws nearer, political dynamics in Ghana are set to evolve, and the future of Alan Kyerematen’s independent candidacy will undoubtedly be a topic of keen interest. The NPP, under the leadership of Stephen Ayesu Ntim, remains determined to navigate these challenges and secure a successful outcome in the forthcoming election.
