The credibility of Haruna Iddrisu, is quickly eroding Mr. Edmond Oppong Peprah has observed. His observation follows the role the Member of Parliament for Tamale South, is playing to have the E-levy scrapped by the Supreme Court.
After E-levy was passed, the minority leader of Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu together with Mahama Ayariga and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, dragged the Attorney-General to the Supreme Court over the approval of the Electronic Transactions Levy (E-Levy).
They are contending that Parliament did not have the required number of at least half of its members present, when the controversial tax policy was approved.
But Mr. Edmond Oppong Peprah stated on Wontumi TV that the attitude of Hon. Haruna Iddrisu is courting public disaffection for him.
“Ghanaians used to rate you higher but now you are losing all the respect they accorded you. He needs to be careful”, he said.
He described the decision by the NDC MP to lead his colleagues to the Supreme Court as bad case noting that “he is gradually eroding his own credibility.”
