As part of preparations towards the 2020 General Elections, they had been the installation CCTV cameras in some part of Accra such as Lartebiokorshie, Mamprobi and its environs.
This was done for surveillance and to compliment security check which may mar a smooth elections in the December polls.
Surprisingly, the PRO of the Greater Accra Police Command has denied knowledge of the said CCTV cameras installations.
Also, residents and people around have also registered their displeasure on what should have made them comfortable because, apparently, there were no prior information or official notice before the installations were done.
CCTV cameras are used for security checks and monitoring events at particular places.
