Energy Minister, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) has admitted that traders around the various toll booths should have been given time to relocate.
His comment comes after the Finance minister during the presentation of the 2022 budget announced that government has abolished the collection of levies at toll booths.
This announcement did not go down well with traders who do their work around the toll booth with some begging the government to reconsider their stance.
Speaking on TV3, NAPO noted that the traders have a point in complaining because they should have been given time to relocate at least.
Dr Opoku Prempeh told Johnnie Hughes on the show on Thursday November 18 that “The women have a point. I won’t run away from that. Maybe on second thought, we should have given them time.”
