Gov’t Responds To Developments In Bawku…Pledges To Arrest ‘Fake’ Bawku Naba

The government of Ghana through the Minister of Information has sent out a strong warning to arrest and prosecute any person claiming to be the new Bawku Naba other than Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II.

A statement signed by Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and sighted by Wontumionline.com, indicates that the National and Upper East Regional Houses of Chiefs, has duly gazetted and recognizes Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II as Bawku Naba.

The statement further described as unfortunate an attempt by another person to hold himself out as a Bawku Naba.

It therefore made it clear that the security agencies have alerted to deal with the situation which has the potential to undermine the peace of Bawku.
