The appointment of Godfred Yeboah Dame as Attorney General and Minister of Justice has encountered an unexpected roadblock as a businesswoman has petitioned the appointments committee of Parliament over what she claims to be a previous unlawful conduct of the Minister designate which makes him unfit for the high office he has been marked for.
Mr Yeboah Dame has been the toast of many, having distinguished himself in his previous role as deputy Attorney General.
His appointment as Attorney General designate was met with mixed reactions, as many welcomed the news, just as many others disagreed for various reasons.
One Madam Freda Darko, chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FREKO FD Enterprise has petitioned the appointments committee not to approve Mr Dame’s appointment on the grounds that he is vicious and cannot be in charge of the country’s Justice Ministry.
