Ghanaians Stranded in the USA Who Want to Return Home Should be Able to Pay GHS 18,000

Ghanaians stuck in the United States of Americas should be rich enough to pay minimum of US$3000 if  they wish to return home to Ghana.

The country’s borders have been closed for almost over 3 months due to COVID19 preventive measures.

According to the Consul General, each person wishing to be evacuated will need to pay $1350 for economy class and $2840 for Business class.

Two hotels have been reserved for evacuees. The Kempiski Hotel  (5 star) who charges GHS 650 a day and the African Regency Hotel. These are where they will be quarantined between 14 to 21 days.

In addition, evacuees will be providing their own PPEs.

Whiles many people are thanking the government for the gesture, others see the gesture as laughable since the cost involved is too high.

Besides, the stranded Ghanaians may have already spent fortunes, since most of them were forced to overstay their visits and had to do unplanned spendings.
