Ghana Immigration Arrests Nigerian With New Voters ID Card At Aflao Border

A Nigerian by name Emmanuel Phillip has been arrested by the Aflao Sector Command of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) with Ghana’s New Voters Card.

Luck eluded Emmanuel when he was apprehended on 6th July, after he tried entering Ghana using the Aflao border by the Immigration Command positioned at Ketu South.

Assistant Inspector Felix Klu-Adjei in a statement revealed that, a search on the suspect found the Ghanaian Voters ID Card.

Emmanuel upon questioning by Chief Superintendent Frederick Baah Duodu , Aflao Sector Commander of the GIS said  he resided in Aflao with one Jerry  Azametsi and the wife.

He shockingly revealed that, he had persuaded the registrars of the Voter ID Card to which they had even helped him as his guarantors to register.

Mr. Azametsi also after being investigated admitted to helping the suspect to carry out the exercise.

 Emmanuel together with the two guarantors had since been handed over to the Aflao District Police to assist investigation and any further prosecution.
