The leader of the Economic Fighters League, Ernesto Yeboah, will tomorrow 11th June 2020 appear before the Accra Circuit court 10.
Ernesto Yeboah made this known on his Facebook page after he claims he was informed by the police.
The Economic Freedom Fighters on Saturday organised a vigil in solidarity with George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement.
Unfortunately police distrupted the vigil and had the leader arrested.
Ernesto called on friends who will come to the courts to support him to comport themselves so that they don’t get into trouble.
His Facebook post read:
“Good morning friends.
I have been informed by the Ghana Police to appear before the Courts tomorrow at 10am at Circuit Court 10, following our organisation of the #AccraBlackOut vigil in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter protests in America and across the globe, which was held on Saturday 6th June.
We welcome this development as this gives us the opportunity to make our country better.
We call on those who wish to attend to remain calm but resolute, and to exercise the highest levels of comportment and discipline when you show up at the Courts to stand with us. Please be prepared to observe All COVID19 protocols.”
Ernesto was last arrested at the parliament House after he disrupted sitting with the chant ,”Drop that Chamber”, in relation to a new chamber parliament was planning to build.
He was not charged, but asked to be of good behavior.
