Ejura Committee Report Reads Like An SHS Homework – Lawyer For Kaaka’s Family

Lawyer for the family of Macho Kaaka who killed during the Ejura disturbances, Oliver Barker-Vomawor, has described the likened the committee’s report to a senior high school homework.

In a Facebook post he wrote, “The Ejura Committee report! I see why they did not want to release it. It reads like an SHS homework,”

Meanwhile Nasiru Mohammed, a brother of the murdered activist has already said that the family is not satisfied with the work of the Justice Koomson-led committee.

According to him the report is inundated with discrepancies which makes it difficult for understanding.

The Minority caucus in Parliament have also urged government to fully implement the recommendations of the report.

Speaking to Citi news, James Agalga a former deputy Minister of Interior said the government must swiftly implement the recommendations by the committee, and not repeat its handling of the Ayawaso West Wuogon commission of inquiry report.

“It is my expectation that the government will implement fully the recommendations of the committee. The government must implement this promptly. We know of the Ayawaso West Wuogon inquiry and the government’s attitude towards the recommendations that were made. Even those recommendations that were accepted in the government’s whitepaper were never implemented. So this time around, we expected nothing but the prompt implementation of the committee’s report.”
