The Paramount Chief of Ejisu, Nana Afrane Okese IV, has incurred the wrath of some youth of Ejisu Besease who has threatened to deal with him severely, should he fail to apologize to the unseated MP, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi whom he referred to as a fool, within one week.
The primaries in the Ejisu Constituency was a keen contest between third term MP and Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi and Lawyer John Apontuah Kumah, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), who was making his second attempt at the primaries.
John Kumah polled 397 as against his contenders, the incumbent MP Kwabena Owusu-Aduomi and Abena Poku who had 307 and 5 respectively.
After John Kumah’s victory, he went to the Palace to officially greet the chief and his elders. In the chief’s remarks, he advised the newly elected candidate not to behave like “the foolish Owusu Aduomi”.
But the Chief’s remarks have not gone down well with the youth of Besease, where Mr Owusu Aduomi hails from. They have threatened to deal with the Paramount Chief if he fails to apologize within a week.
