Former Chief Executive Officer of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority and Ghana’s former High Commissioner to India under the erstwhile Mahama’s administration, Lawyer Sam P. Yalley, has warned that, Ghana is likely to experience another revolution similar to what occured on June 4th.

Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia programme, which was witnessed by Ghanafeed.com he warned that, if the Electoral Commission does not tread cautiously and remains unbending with its decision to compile a new voters’ register, then another June 4 is likely to occur.

According to him, the June 4 uprising was as a result of corruption and oppression eating Ghanaians up hence the revolution.

He bemoaned that, EC’s refusal to listen to divergent opinions from Ghanaians and other stakeholders regarding the compilation of the register can be equated to suppression of the people’s will.

He further indicated that, the decision by the electoral body to bulldoze its way through with the compilation of voters’ register is a clear manifestation of the latter’s desire to disenfranchise Ghanaians.
