Coronavirus- National Service Personnel Asked to Stay Home

In adherence to some precautionary measures by the president to stop the spread and control of the deadly Coronavirus disease, the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has decided that, national service interns should not report to work but rather stay home.

The action had become necessary to prevent further spread of the COVID-19 disease.

However, strong measures imposed by the President such as social distancing, the use of sanitizers, hand washing under running water and the wearing of a protective nose mask are strictly being followed at the Ministry.

Reports reaching us also revealed that, the reporting and closing time for workers was now 10:00am- 4:00pm respectively.

It is also reported that, various directors in the Ministry are to submit their roster for a workable working hours for the various departments whilst members with health conditions have been asked to report to their supervisors and stay home for their own safety.

Also, all post-natal, national service persons, nursing mothers and interns have been asked to stay home until further notice.
