The National Democratic Congress’s National Chairman is Samuel Ofosu Ampofo (NDC), has stated that the arrest of broadcasters such as Bobie Ansah will not detract from their anti-E-levy campaign.

He demonstrated how the current government aims to intentionally shift Ghanaians’ attention away from the E-levy by arresting agitators. He stated “You can see that all kinds of manipulations have been put in place in the last three days since we decided to embark on this demonstration against the e-levy. Oheneba, the ASEPA chairman, and Bobie, who have all been in the forefront of the agitation against the E-Levy, have all been arrested in the last 72 hours “..

As a result, he believes the current government is planning a deliberate maneuver to shift attention away from the E-levy battle. He emphasized categorically that the NDC, together with all agitators, will not let this diversionary approach to succeed against them in any way.

With this, he urged all party followers to continue their protest against the proposed e-levy and to stand together with those who have been arrested in the e-levy battle.
