Investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni believes Martin Amidu may have contributed to his abrupt end as the Special Prosecutor.
According to him, Mr. Amidu’s “holier than thou” posture as the SP affected his effectiveness when in office.
He noted in Facebook post that Martin Amidu should have exercised some flexibility in his dealings at the OSP.
In a reaction to Mr. Amidu’s 27-paged explosive response to the Presidency’s reply to his (Amidu) resignation, Manasseh stated, “It is also worth pointing out that apart from the interference, Martin Amidu’s extremely rigid posture and human relations could have contributed to his failure. It is possible to be flexible without compromising on your integrity or values.
“To succeed as a corruption fighter, you must work with with others. You must work with the good people and the bad people. You must learn to play your cards well and use people to get what you want without they knowing you’re using them. You cannot be an island and succeed.
