Deputy National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has slammed President Akufo Addo for ‘wicked’ decision to order Auditor General Daniel Domelevo to go on leave.
Likening the President to Biblical king Nebuchadnezzar, he alleged on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ show that Akufo Addo since he became president had always being involved in corrupt activities.
“President Akufo-Addo is more wicked than Nebuchadnezzar . . . how can you connive to take out of office this transparent Auditor-General all because he has refused to allow you misuse state funds?” he quizzed.
According to him, the president portrays that he is so much in love with money and power than human lives. For this reason he decided to get rid of the Auditor General in order to get breathing space to conduct his corrupt practices.
President Akufo Addo directed the Auditor General Daniel Domelevo to proceed on his accumulated leave of one hundred and twenty-three (123) working days effective July 1, 2020.
He however, extended it from 123 days to 167 effective July 1, 2020 after a response from Mr Domelevo asking the president to reconsider his directive.
