Akufo-Addo Had His Hands And Legs Wrapped In A Galamsey – Inusah Fuseini

Alhaji Inusah Fuseini, a former minister of lands and mineral resources, asserted that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s  hands and legs are shackled in the war against galamsey, which is why Ghana’s efforts to eradicate it have failed.

He claims that the President could have opposed the activity that is ruining Ghana’s forest reserves and water bodies if he were not a benefit of illegal mining.

“Everyone is aware that you don’t need the Chiefs’ assistance. That speech is what we had all anticipated. Because Akufo-Addo’s hands and legs are wrapped in galamsey, he is unable to fight the practice, the man claimed.

Inusah Fuseini revealed that the President is deeply involved in galamsey and is aware of the country’s galamsey kingpins, thus meeting with chiefs and other stakeholders is useless if he won’t act later.

According to Inusah Fuseini, the public no longer trusts the president’s words, thus he needs to stop talking and concentrate on acting to combat the threat.

He added that the president himself has acknowledged that battling galamsey requires more than just words; it also requires deeds. “You have all the authorities; a legislation has been approved so why can’t he,” he remarked.

“There is no need for Nana Addo to go across the country telling people to assist him fight it,” he continued, adding that both the president and the people of Ghana are aware of those who engage in illegal mining. Everyone is aware—including the chiefs—that President Akufo Addo is acquainted with those involved.
