Investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has descended on the government labeling them ‘insensitive’.

Reacting to an e-levy cake presented to Majority leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu during his 60th birthday celebration, Manasseh said the move is a display of how the government have become insensitive and a rotten goat.

“The E-Levy cake is a manifestation of the rotten-goat syndrome I wrote about a few weeks ago. They’re just insensitive!” Manasseh wrote on Facebook.

Meanwhile the majority leader has said the cake was presented to him by a businessman.

Speaking on Angel FM he said the cake was given to him by a business man who he refused to disclose his identity because of his affiliation with a certain politcal party.

The Majority leader noted that he would not have consented to the cake which has sparked controversy should he had been informed earlier.

He also noted that the colour of the cake (green) was not his preferred colour rather blue and white like the one his wife presented to him.

He urged Ghanaians not to make a big fuss about the cake because it was not his intention to spark a public uproar.
