The report, titled “How Dirty Money Finds a Home in Dubai Real Estate” and published on May 14, 2024, investigates the use of Dubai’s real estate market as a safe haven for wealth by criminals and politicians.

The report highlights Dubai’s financial secrecy, lack of property taxes, and political stability as key factors attracting individuals seeking to securely invest funds abroad, particularly when facing potential political instability in their home countries. Among the international figures listed, Inusah Fuseini stands out. Fuseini is linked to six properties in Dubai, according to the report.

Other prominent Ghanaians named in the report include Anthony Alfred Benin, a former judge on the Supreme Court of Ghana and the ECOWAS Court of Justice, who is associated with one property in Dubai. Additionally, Joseph Kwaku Asamoah, a former finance director of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, is cited as a co-owner of two properties in Dubai. Asamoah confirmed his registration as co-owner but stated that he had not paid for the properties, which were acquired by another individual.

Moses Aduko Asaga, a former member of Ghana’s parliament and former chief executive of the National Petroleum Authority of Ghana, is also listed in the report, linked to one property in Dubai.
