Former President John Dramani Mahama has eulogized the late President Evans Fiifi Atta Mills describing him as a comrade, mentor and a friend in commemoration of his 76th birthday.
In a post on his official Facebook page, he wrote “You would have been 76 years today, Prof. Though in eternity, memories of your sterling qualities and principled leadership are still fresh with us.
You will forever remain in our hearts. Yours is a soul that cannot be forgotten, a man we cannot celebrate enough!
Happy birthday my comrade, mentor and friend. Continue to rest well, Sir”
This month marks exactly 8 years when the late president died and the day has been set aside by the Atta Mills memorial committee to remember him with a public lecture and to lay wreaths at his tomb.
John Dramani Mahama was Vice President to Professor Mills from 2009 until his death in July 2012.
He led the NDC in 2000, 2004 and 2008 elections and for the three and half years he served as President of the Republic of Ghana.
