Ghanaian musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, widely known as Shatta Wale, has lamented the lack of money in the industry.

While there is no money in the industry—as he claims, Wale in a post seen by Newshuntermag.com revealed that the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) is chasing him to pay tax.

He now intends to use an amount of GHS 30,000 announced as his royalties collected by GHAMRO to pay his tax.

During a discussion on GTV, former GHAMRO Chairman, Rex Omar disclosed that GHAMRO is waiting for Shatta Wale’s management to submit his account details for the money to be paid.

Rebutting this, Wale stated that he doesn’t have any management.

He wrote on Facebook: “Pls Ghamro I don’t have management ooo, I am my own management pls don’t let anybody come take my money in the name of Shatta wale, I will use it to pay my TAX cuz the way GRA is on my neck like a thief I haven’t seen some before !!!

“I am using all this money to file my tax cuz I can’t bare the pressure anymore from them ..Show them this and let them know, this what my music has brought me for the past years so they will stop pressuring my life ..There is no money in our industry and the little we make too the system takes it ..Thank you GHAMRO for this transparency!!”
