President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, acting through the Ghana Armed Forces has reportedly ordered a withdrawal of the military detail attached to the Speaker of parliament, Alban Bagbin.
In a letter shared by NDC Communicators, and sighted by this portal, the said military detail are being withdrawn over claims that their deployment to the Speaker did not go through the right process.
The letter, signed by the Chief of Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces, indicated that the withdrawal of the soldiers will take effect from January 14 (yesterday).
Though the letter assured the Speaker that the process will be properly done and soldiers reassigned, some have also alleged that President Akufo-Addo is doing this as retaliation for the rejection of the e-levy.
