President Akuffo Addo in his 12th address to the nation has directed all Senior High Schools (SHSs) to designate one dormitory each to serve as isolation centre as final year students resume school today.
As part of efforts to address safety concerns, the president revealed that each of the 1,100 senior high schools have been assigned a health facility within their locality to handle Covid-19 cases.
“Each such senior has school has been mapped to a health facility and care will be provided to the sick by nurses assigned to these schools,” President Akufo-Addo announced.
Government as part of efforts to ease Covid-19 restrictions have allowed final year students in various schools to resume academic work, observing all safety protocols.
Final and second year gold track students in Senior High Schools are to resume school on Monday, June 22 for six weeks during which the final years will prepare to sit for their WASSCE examination.
