Election Petition: Mahama Got His First Victory Today – Gabby
Lawyer and leading member of the New Patriotic Party, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has described as victory Supreme Court’s decision to grant John Dramani Mahama’s request for a rectification of the errors made in his petition.
In a post on social media, the court in its own wisdom believed the former president had enough grounds to be granted his request although the Electoral Commission which is the first respondent and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who is the second respondent were against the request.
Per Gabby’s understanding, Mahama has so far gotten his first victory over his rivals.
“Petitioner, got the 1st victory this morning when court granted his application to correct errors, which was opposed by the respondents. The petitioner is asking the court for a rerun because of errors in declaring results. Respondents say those errors were corrected!”, he posted on social media.
