Prepare To Face Privileges Committee, You Won’t Be Spared – Ablakwa To Carlos

Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has told Tema West MP, Carlos Ahenkorah to make himself ready to face the Privileges Committee in Parliament for snatching ballot sheet while counting was ongoing to elect new Speaker for the 8th Parliament.

Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana programme, the lawmaker said, “Carlos Ahenkorah should prepare for us…We are going to make sure that such characters who commit electoral offences in broad daylight do not get away with it. He should prepare to face the Privileges Committee. [It’s a] clear breach.”

Carlos Ahenkorah has received public backlash for his outrageous act in Parliament with many calling for him to be sanctioned.

He has however apologised, stressing he did it for Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party.
