In a devastating turn of events in Kasoa, a 22-year-old man, Kwabena Osei, and his 19-year-old girlfriend, Princess, tragically lost their lives in a fire that engulfed their home. The incident, which has shocked the local community, reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over GHS 190,000.

Kwabena, allegedly involved in internet fraud, was accused of withholding money from his associates after a financial windfall. According to reports, tensions escalated when Kwabena refused to share the GHS 190,000 his group had allegedly obtained through their fraudulent activities. Despite repeated demands from his friends, he remained firm in his decision, causing frustration and hostility among the group.

In a horrifying response, his associates reportedly resorted to violent action. It is alleged that they doused Kwabena’s residence with petrol and set it ablaze, resulting in the deaths of both Kwabena and Princess, who was with him at the time of the incident.

Princess is also believed to have been involved in the fraudulent activities, playing a key role in the scam by impersonating a foreign woman during phone conversations to aid the group’s deceitful schemes.

This tragic incident has left the community in mourning, raising concerns about the increasing involvement of young people in cybercrime and the extreme consequences such activities can provoke. Local authorities are investigating the case, and the hunt for the perpetrators is ongoing.
