There has been a shooting incident at Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Consistuency as voting goes on.

The unfortunate incident is said to have been perpetrated by some men allegedly from the camp of current MP, Hawa Koomson.

Narrating his ordeal on Angel FM, the injured NDC polling agent recounted that he was in a vehicle enroute to the house of NDC parliamentary candidate, Naa Koryoor when these unidentified assailants met them on the way.

After a short disagreement, his other colleagues with whom he was going with alighted from their vehicle and there the alleged men of Hawa Koomson opened fire, shooting and injuring his right hand in the process.

This has led to a temporary halt in voting amid chaos and confusion.

We’ll keep tabs with the story as it unfolds.
