You’ve Resigned For Who To Do The Painful Work Of Fighting Corruption? Muntaka Expresses Disappoinment In Amidu

Member of Parliament for Asawase Constituency, Muntaka Mubarak has expressed his disappointment in Martin Amidu’s decision to resign as Special Prosecutor.

According to him, Amidu is best fit for the job considering his immense experience and track record. He can’t deem anyone else fit to stomach the pains and frustrations in battling corruption.

“If he is quitting, then who does he expect to come and do the work? Because which other Ghanaian does he think will be able to stomach all the pains and the frustration that comes with fighting corruption?” he told Citi News.

He further noted that “I’m very disappointed and worried for the single reason that my senior comrade Martin Amidu says that they are making it extremely difficult for him and knowing him very well he was very firm when he sat before us that he was determined to do his job.”
