Deputy Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress, Godwin Ako Gunn has refuted claims that the party has run out of funds for their campaign, a reason its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama has halted his regional tours.
This comes after some members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) including its General Secretary, John Boadu attributed Mr Mahama’s halt in campaigning activities to shortage of funds.
Speaking on Okay FM in reaction, Ako Gunn noted that the NDC’s campaign has never been about money but rather they were well received with love and joy wherever they go.
He noted that the NPP, who were in opposition in 2016 and were begging Kayayei (head potters) for GHC1 to aid their campaign should be the last people to ridicule the NDC on shortage of funds.
